There Is No Rest…Without Trust

Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

As you embrace and live into this coming week, ask yourself, “Why am I so tired and so fatigued all the time? Is it because I worry too much? Is it because I hold onto too much stuff that has hurt me in the past? Or, is it because I need to be in control of everything?” Whatever your answer is, it starts and ends with TRUST in God.

Jesus within this scripture is trying to tell a community of people that their “way” is too taxing, challenging and hard, in comparison to His way of life, and eventually your way will wear you out mentally, physically and spiritually if you do not put ALL your trust within Me. That being said, for those of you that are looking for a newfound energy source…so you can rest your worries, laydown your past hurts and let go of heavy burdens, put your TRUST in Jesus and not in yourself or the ways of the world. Jesus offers a way of life that gives joy to the hurting, comfort to the abandoned, power to the powerless, hope to the hopeless and rest to the restless. Try Jesus today, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
