- The Nature of God – We believe God to be The Creator of everything that has breath and The Source of “true life.” Nothing can come into existence and truly live, without God, The Creator.
- The Nature of Jesus – We believe Jesus to be The Son of God, by being the “full manifestation” of God in human form.
- The Nature of the Holy Spirit – We believe the Holy Spirit to be The Spirit of God that abides and lives inside of people, in order to guide and remind us to stay in the will of God, so we can do and be everything God created us to be as life constantly happens.
- The Nature of Sin – We believe true sin to be a person estranged from God. An estrangement that causes and leads a person to commit immoral acts of behavior.
- The Nature of Love – We believe in an unconditional love that freely cares for and supports another child of God to be and become everything that God created them to be. God is love, which means love does not unjustly or intentionally oppress, condemn or harm another child of God based on race, class, sex, gender, physical/psychological conditions, religion, etc. Instead, love liberates…love empowers…love gives hope…love walks with…and love adds to another’s life.
- The Nature of Humanity (God’s Children) – We believe that ALL of humanity is created in the image of God and are children of God, regardless of a persons race, sex, gender, class, physical/psychological conditions, religion, etc. It is within this natural birthright from God, that we as a community, will find our “common ground” (or relatedness) between each other.
- The Nature of The Biblical Scriptures – We believe The Biblical Scriptures to be a collection of authoritative books, narratives and teachings that are designed to reveal the Word of God to the children of God for the building of God’s Kingdom. It is within these Divinely inspired scriptures, that God’s children are invited and free to enter into a communal relationship with God. A communal relationship that teaches persons about God, self, your neighbor and how to live a fruitful and truthful life (or Spirit led life).
- The Nature of Baptism – We believe baptism to be a sacred, communal and faithful representation of a person’s “public” acceptance into a relationship with God, through Jesus, The Son of God. It is also a person’s “outward” profession of being born again in the name of God, The Son of God and The Holy Spirit (or in the Spirit of God). In addition to this sacred act, we believe in baptism by “full immersion.”
- The Nature of Prayer – We believe prayer to be a form of worship, active communication and a spiritual discipline that allows God’s children to become personal, spiritually centered and in-tune with God. This sacred and relational practice, allows God’s children to thank God, petition their concerns to God and to remember the love, power and goodness of God during life’s experiences.
- The Nature of The Lord’s Supper – We believe The Lord’s Supper to be a sacred, symbolic and communal ritual that allows all of God’s Children to give thanks to God by remembering and reflecting upon the significance of Jesus’ life and death.
- The Nature of Serving – We firmly believe that serving inside and outside The House of God to be an essential behavior for ALL of God’s children, because it is a behavior that is concerned with meeting his or her neighbor where they are at in life. This Spiritual behavior of servitude is rooted in love, humility, selflessness and ACTION.
